Thomas Blankenship
Mr. Blankenship, a co-founder of Subsero Health, has been involved in the healthcare industry since the early 1990s. He has held a variety of senior level management positions and has owned several health care related companies over his career.
Mr. Blankenship was the founder and majority owner of Partners in Practice, headquartered in Sarasota, Florida. Starting in the late 1990s, over a ten year period, Partners in Practice grew to one of the largest physician practice management and revenue cycle management companies in the United States, until the company sold in July 2009 to Origin Healthcare Solutions. Origin retained Mr. Blankenship to serve as the Director of their Southeast Division until his resignation in June 2012.
Prior to running Partners in Practice, Mr. Blankenship was the Chief Executive Officer of the Heart Center, one of Florida’s largest cardiovascular medical group practices. In addition, throughout his career Mr. Blankenship has formed and been involved with many other healthcare related companies, including medical practice start-ups, medical supply companies, health information companies, electronic medical records and transcription companies, diagnostic imaging providers, and clinical research companies. One of his greatest challenges was as the Chief Executive Officer, and one of the founders of BeHealthy America, a Medicare Advantage Health Maintenance Organization. Mr. Blankenship served as the Chief Executive Officer prior to the sale of the company to Florida Blue.
Today, Mr. Blankenship is considered a thought leader in value-based care which is his primary focus.
